Odissi For Harmony Amsterdam Festival
'Odissi for Harmony - Amsterdam' is a first celebration of Odissi – one of the classical dance forms of India – presented during an evening full of artistic expression and cultural connection.
The festival, curated by Sita Kadam Zope (founder of SITA – Spiritual Institute of Traditional Arts), brings together Odissi artists and practitioners from home and abroad.
The performances are deeply rooted in the traditional technique, geometry, and expressive language of Odissi, but also explore themes and emotions that appeal to contemporary audiences. Through movement, music, and storytelling, 'Odissi for Harmony' creates a space where an ancient art form can be experienced in a fresh, accessible, and meaningful way.
With performances by Tulika Tripathi, Sita Kadam-Zope, Anika Mishra, Ayushi Pradhan, and the Natraj Dance Academy by Rajni Giraw, among others, the evening invites the audience to discover Odissi: not merely as a classical tradition, but as a living art form that connects cultures and generations.
